Museum benefit to be held at Oklahoma City Golf and Country Club
The Oklahoma City Museum of Art will hold its annual Renaissance Ball, When In Rome, Friday, September 5 at 7:30p.m. at the Oklahoma City Golf and Country Club. Inspired by the Museum's blockbuster exhbition, Roman Art from the Louvre, this traditional black-tie event supports the museum’s 2008-2009 season. Guests will dine and dance to the lively music of ZERO260. Honorary chairs for the event are Mary and John Nichols, long time museum patrons. Ball chairs are Leslie and Clifford Hudson, and sponsorship chairs are Suzette and Kim Hatfield and Alice and Phil Pippin.
The Renaissance Ball has raised $4 million for museum operations and programs since the first event in 1976.
“It’s exciting to signal the close of summer and open the season with the annual Renaissance Ball,” said Carolyn Hill, executive director. “We’re indebted to the Ball for the beautiful spirit of elegance, friendship, and anticipation of a fabulous season.”
