Renaissance Ball

Renaissance Ball

The 32nd Annual Renaissance Ball broke attendance and fundraising records!

Museum benefit held at Oklahoma City Golf and Country Club

The Oklahoma City Museum of Art hosted its annual Renaissance Ball, El Carnaval, Friday, September 7 at 7:30p.m. at the Oklahoma City Golf and Country Club. Inspired by Columbian-born Fernando Botero’s The Baroque World of Fernando Botero, this traditional black-tie event supports the museum’s 2007-2008 season. Guests dineed amid the festive spirit of a South American ball and dance to the lively music of ZERO260. Honorary chairs for the event were Dr. and Mrs. Robert S. Ellis, long time museum patrons. Ball chairs were Penny and John McCaleb, and sponsorship chairs were Drs. Amalia and Paul Silverstein and Judy and Tom Love.

The Renaissance Ball has raised $3 million for museum operations and programs since the first event in 1976.

“It’s exciting to signal the close of summer and open the season with the annual Renaissance Ball,” said Carolyn Hill, executive director. “We’re indebted to the Ball for the beautiful spirit of elegance, friendship, and anticipation of a fabulous new season.”
