Learn about the different styles of Roman architecture! We’ll look at picture books and enjoy a snack, and then visit the gallery to discover examples of ancient Roman art. Next, we will return to the classroom to draw architectural details and add color to our drawings using watercolors.

Let’s visit the gallery to read a fun story and discover ancient Roman sculptures. Then, we will return to the classroom to talk about relief sculptures and form a slab of clay. Next, we’ll add more clay to our slab and carve it to make a very simple portrait of both parent and child.
