The 37th Annual Renaissance Ball, A Decade Downtown, benefiting the Oklahoma City Museum of Art, was held Friday, September 7 at the Oklahoma City Golf and Country Club. The ball is inspired by the Museum’s 10th anniversary of its downtown location in the Donald W. Reynolds Visual Arts Center.
The 2012 Renaissance Ball was chaired by Tina & Elby Beal and honored Christy & Jim Everest, longtime supporters and friends of the Museum. Caroline & Durward Hendee, Brenda & Tom McDaniel, and Penny & John McCaleb served as sponsorship chairs.
The ball will began with cocktails and live music in the ballroom of the Country Club, followed by a seated dinner and dancing until midnight to the band The Project.
Since the first Renaissance Ball held in 1976, the event has raised more than $5 million for Museum operations and programs.
