Guest Teaching Artist: Ella McAlister Moore from The Conservatory for Classical Art
Maximum enrollment: 12 students

Students will learn how to create art in the style of the artists from the Dutch and Flemish era. By using art tools and materials that assimilate the ones used by the old masters, students will gain knowledge of the history of the materials and an appreciation of the art created in the Dutch Golden Age. Each class will begin with a tour of the exhibition Master Strokes: Dutch and Flemish Drawings from the Golden Age, with a focus on a particular drawing that will be used as inspiration for the classroom experience. Classroom time will include a brief overview of the materials used in the featured drawing from the collection. Art materials used for the classroom will closely follow or replicate the materials used by the masters.
