This figure drawing class is based upon the nineteenth-century academic drawing tradition of working from life. During the six classes, students will work from a live model and learn a systematic step-by-step approach that has been passed down from the Old Masters. Classes will include demonstrations, critiques, and plenty of one-on-one time with each student.
About the Instructor:
Kiana Daneshmand is an Oklahoma artist who has been studying classical drawing and painting methods for over 6 years. During the course of those years she has also broadened her scope by studying with various visiting instructors such as Sarah Sedwick, Scott Waddel, Andrew Ameral, and Vincent Jeannerot. She enjoys working in a variety of different mediums but her favorites to use are oil paint and charcoal. Kiana continues work diligently in her home studio and at the Conservatory for Classical Art studio where she received her training in how to approach drawing and painting in the traditional manner.
