You’re invited to join us for a tour of OKCMOA’s exhibition The Perfect Shot: Walter Iooss Jr. and the Art of Sports Photography with Curator Bryn Schockmel. The Perfect Shot features 85 photographs by legendary sports photographer Walter Iooss Jr., spanning his 50-plus year career with Sports Illustrated. You will learn about the artistic techniques employed by Iooss in photos ranging from carefully composed portraits to dramatic action shots. We will also explore the stories behind the photos—featuring such sporting greats as Muhammad Ali, Jackie Joyner-Kersee, Michael Jordan, Mary Lou Retton, and Serena Williams—highlighting Iooss’ close friendships with many of the athletes he photographed.
This will be the final tour of The Perfect Shot before it closes on Sunday, September 4.
