Let’s gather (virtually) for a low-pressure, high-fun session of drawing! Manager of Family Programs and Accessibility Amanda Harmer will help you get inspired by our permanent collection to investigate size and scale. No previous drawing experience necessary and all skill levels are welcome. Grab your cocktail or mocktail (suggested drink below) and draw together!
Participants must provide their own supplies and have Zoom downloaded on their chosen device in order to participate. A link to the private Zoom class will be sent via email only to those who have registered.
Supplies for this session:
- Mark-making tool(s): pencil, Sharpie marker, and/or colored pencils
- Sketchbook or 2-4 pieces of paper
- Items or photos of items that might make fun, contrasting drawings
Since we are playing with size and scale, gather items that are typically small and typically large. For instance, you could bring a sewing needle (typically very small) and an elephant figurine (though the figurine might be small, the animal is large). Try to select items that, when drawn together, could tell an interesting story!
