About the Exhibition:
Kiarostami: Beyond the Frame is a multimedia, retrospective survey of artworks by acclaimed Iranian filmmaker, photographer, and visual artist Abbas Kiarostami. This exhibition reveals a singular artistic vision and a wide-ranging body of work nearly a half-century in the making, from his early children’s films and graphic design work to his immersive large-scale photographs and installations of his twenty-first-century video art.
This exhibition features the world premiere of the famous Regardez-moi portfolio, Kiarostami’s series of photographs depicting visitors to the Louvre and other museums. In conjunction with the exhibition and in memory of Jeanne Hoffman Smith, visitors can join us every Thursday at 7:30 pm throughout the run of the exhibition for the Abbas Kiarostami Film Series. These weekly screenings of Kiarostami’s feature films are included with Art After 5 admission and are free for members!
Kiarostami: Beyond the Frame was organized by the Oklahoma City Museum of Art in association with The Kiarostami Foundation. The exhibition is on view October 15, 2022-April 9, 2023. Click here to learn more.
