TICKETS ON SALE FOR OKCMOA SUMMER BLOCKBUSTER

Buy timed tickets today for True Nature: Rodin and the Age of Impressionism before it sells out!

OKLAHOMA CITY (Thursday, May 4) – The Oklahoma City Museum of Art (OKCMOA) today announced that tickets for its summer exhibition, opening Saturday, June 17, are now available. Demand for True Nature: Rodin and the Age of Impressionism is expected to be extremely high, meaning early ticket purchases are highly encouraged. This exhibition, presented by Inasmuch Foundation and George Records, will consist of 100 pieces including numerous large-scale masterworks by French sculptor Auguste Rodin and outstanding paintings by his Impressionist contemporaries, including Claude Monet, Edgar Degas and Pierre-Auguste Renoir.

“Rodin was the most important sculptor of the modern age, creating a series of legendary works that addressed concerns similar to those of his Impressionist friends like Monet with increased naturalism and attention to movement. This blockbuster traveling exhibition comes from the Los Angeles County Museum of Art’s world-class permanent collection. Its stop in Oklahoma City will be the last opportunity for people to experience it in the United States before it makes its way to Japan,” said Museum CEO & President Michael Anderson, PhD.

Tickets are available online at okcmoa.com, in person, or by calling the Museum’s main number (405) 236-3100. Tickets for True Nature allow visitors a 15-minute window for arrival time with slots available throughout regular Museum hours. The last ticket sold for the day will be 30 minutes prior to closing. Timed ticketing will run throughout the length of the exhibition, and the following prices will apply to exhibition tickets:

Adult 18 + $21.95
Senior 62 + $19.95
College w/ ID $19.95
Retired Military/Veterans w/ID $14.95
Military w/ ID FREE (June 17-Sept.4), then $14.95 (Sept. 5-Oct. 22)

Children 17 and under are always admitted free. General admission pricing will still be available but will not include entry to True Nature. The Museum will once again participate in the Blue Star Museums program, allowing active-duty military and their families to visit the Museum at no cost. This program will begin on Armed Services Day, May 20, and conclude on Labor Day, September 4.
