Edith Head Film Series: June 29-Sept. 28

From late June through the end of September, Museum Films will present fourteen beloved Hollywood classics featuring costumes designed by the legendary, eight-time Oscar winner Edith Head. Screening in the Noble Theater in conjunction with the Museum’s original blockbuster summer exhibition, Edith Head: Hollywood’s Costume Designer, presented by The Ann Lacy Foundation, this one-of-a-kind program features Head’s designs for many of the biggest stars of Hollywood’s “Golden Age,” including Audrey Hepburn, Grace Kelly, Barbara Stanwyck, and Veronica Lake, among many others. This unique survey of one of Hollywood’s greatest eras is highlighted by her collaborations with legendary Hollywood directors Alfred Hitchcock, Billy Wilder, and Preston Sturges, and features her work in a variety of genres and decades, from screwball comedies and film noir in the 1940s to an Elvis musical in the 1960s. This original series is made possible by the generous support of Chuck Wiggin.

OKCMOA Film Society Members (including Fellow, Friend, and Sustainer members) receive $5 tickets to every film in the Edith Head series and all other Museum Films screenings. To learn more about joining the Film Society, visit: https://www.okcmoa.com/filmsociety

Visit the bar inside OKCMOA’s Museum Store x Ganache for a variety of beverages to enjoy during the show!
