Museum Films’ October lineup features illuminating biopics of Jean-Michel Basquiat and Salvador Dalí, award-winning film festival highlights Eureka and Between the Temples, recent 4K restorations of Oscar-nominated classics The Third Man and The Birds, rediscovered masterworks of the Iranian New Wave, and spine-tingling new horror films from France and South Korea.

Returning to theaters in a luminous, black-and-white, director-supervised 4K restoration, this lyrical portrait of Jean-Michel Basquiat features an iconic lead performance from Oscar-nominated actor Jeffrey Wright (American Fiction) and a star-studded supporting cast that includes Dennis Hopper, Gary Oldman, Christopher Walken, Willem Dafoe, and David Bowie as Andy Warhol.

Receiving its first-ever US theatrical release in a beautiful 4K restoration, this richly detailed and profoundly personal portrait of immigrant life from celebrated Iranian New Wave filmmaker Sohrab Shahid Saless follows a Turkish factory worker in 1970s West Berlin.

Banned for decades following the Iranian Revolution, Bahram Beyzaie’s phantasmagoric fable tells the story of an amnesiac stranger whose boat washes up on the shore of a small village on the Persian Gulf coast. Screening in a new 4K restoration.
