A Lively New Addition to Saturdays at the Museum
OKLAHOMA CITY (May 13, 2025)—The Oklahoma City Museum of Art (OKCMOA) is elevating summer weekends with The Saturday Scene, a new weekly rooftop experience. This program debuts on Saturday, June 7, alongside the opening of Discovering Ansel Adams.
Every Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., visitors are invited to enjoy locally made pastries from Ganache Patisserie, cocktails and skyline views atop the Museum’s Roof Terrace, and opportunities to experience the Museum’s dynamic permanent collection in the heart of downtown.
The rooftop cash bar will feature mimosas, bellinis, champagne, and canned wine. Non-alcoholic options and an expanded drink menu are also available downstairs at the Museum Store Bar.
Guests can begin their visit on the Roof Terrace with a drink, walk around the exhibitions on view, and then enjoy a film matinee in the Noble Theater.
“The Roof Terrace has long been a beloved vantage point of Oklahoma City,” said Bryon Chambers, Head of Education. “With The Saturday Scene, we’re inviting the community to experience it in a new, vibrant way—before a film or a stroll through the galleries.”
Access to the Roof Terrace is included with a film ticket purchase or gallery admission and is always free for Museum members.
Previously, the Roof Terrace was open to visitors on Thursday evenings during Art After 5. Due to the extreme heat often experienced during summer evenings, OKCMOA is shifting this popular feature to Saturday mornings for a more comfortable experience.
