OKCMOA outreach programs provide education and hands-on art-making experiences for people of all ages throughout the community. Reaching beyond our walls, the Museum is committed to actively collaborating with community partners to provide hands-on enrichment through the visual arts.
Please join us for Making Memories at OKCMOA, a program for individuals living with Alzheimer’s disease and other forms of dementia. Held each month from 10:30 am-12 pm, this program includes free access to the Museum’s galleries and studios. Gallery time includes a seated discussion centered on one work of art, and studio time includes one hour of refreshments, conversation, and instruction.
Making Memories is promoted through the Alzheimer’s Association of Oklahoma and adult day center facilities throughout the Oklahoma City metro area. The program is also open to individuals who live with a caregiver.
Registration is limited to 15 participants. Registration closes at 5pm on the day before the program. While this program is free, RSVP is required. Please email email@example.com or call (405) 278-8201.

HEALING ARTS AT SSM BEHAVIORAL HEALTH
Since 2012, the Oklahoma City Museum of Art has offered monthly art lessons to children and teens at SSM Behavioral Health. A Museum teaching artist travels to each unit, bringing lessons that comply with Oklahoma Visual Art Standards and serve as an outlet for creativity and expression. To date, this program has served over 8,000 children and teens.
View our open exhibitions at the Oklahoma City Museum of Art. From delicate glass pieces to painted portraits and hand-carved statues, we have everything you are interested in.
