Tickets on Sale for “Edith Head: Hollywood’s Costume Designer”

The Oklahoma City Museum of Art (OKCMOA) today announced that tickets for its highly anticipated summer exhibition, Edith Head: Hollywood’s Costume Designer, are now available. Organized by OKCMOA and presented by The Ann Lacy Foundation, this exciting retrospective of Oscar®-winning costume designer Edith Head (1897-1981) will feature 70 costumes that offer a comprehensive look at Head’s career and were worn by stars such as Audrey Hepburn, Grace Kelly, Natalie Wood, and Kim Novak.

“This exhibition will bring to life the Golden Age of Hollywood and some of our favorite films,” said OKCMOA President and CEO Michael Anderson, PhD. “Visitors will experience a fascinating blend of art, history, and pop culture all through the lens of costume design.”

Edith Head: Hollywood’s Costume Designer will fill the Museum’s third-floor galleries, where costumes, sketches, and two screening areas will showcase Head’s life and work. The exhibition will include sections displaying a variety of costume styles, such as formal gowns, musical performance costumes, and historical costumes. Visitors will also learn more about her working relationship with director Alfred Hitchcock, her life outside of her career, and her process.

As with all exhibitions, Museum members receive free entry to Edith Head: Hollywood’s Costume Designer, early access, invitations to exclusive events, and discounts on films and programming. For more information, please visit okcmoa.com/membership.

Tickets are available online at okcmoa.com, in person, or by calling the Museum’s main number at (405) 236-3100. During regular Museum hours, the following prices will apply for Edith Head exhibition tickets, which includes access to all of the Museum’s galleries:

  • Adult 18 + $19.95
  • Senior 62 + $17.95
  • College w/ ID $17.95
  • Military w/ ID $14.95

Children 17 and under are always admitted free. The Museum will once again participate in the Blue Star Museums program, allowing active-duty military and their families to visit the Museum at no cost. This program begins on Armed Services Day, May 18, and concludes on Labor Day, September 2.
