Reading and art enthusiasts are invited to join the new Book Club at the Oklahoma City Museum of Art! The Museum Book Club encourages OKCMOA visitors to engage with major special exhibitions by reading and discussing a specially selected book with Museum educator, Tori Waldron.
Each of the Book Club meetings begins with refreshments, including a themed snack and a variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, then Book Club members will partake in a guided discussion of the literature and the displayed art in our galleries.
Book Club meetings will take place once per quarter as new exhibitions open. Registration is limited!
FUSION NOTES
This meeting of the Museum Book Club will feature a guided discussion of Fusion Notes by Preston Singletary in the special exhibition Preston Singletary: Raven and the Box of Daylight on January 11, 2024, from 5:30-7 pm.
“Fusion Notes, a visual memoir, is a loosely thematic dive into Preston Singletary’s life and artistic practices. The title of this book speaks to Singletary’s multi-faceted spirit, Tlingit background, and enduring love for music and the medium of glass.”
Available for purchase in the Museum Store and online at okcmoastore.com.
