Three siblings reunite in picturesque Burgundy to save their family vineyard in Cédric Klapisch’s (L’auberge espagnole) sparkling comedy-drama. Jean, the black sheep of the family, unexpectedly returns home from a decade abroad to reconnect with his ailing father. He’s welcomed by his strong-willed sister, Juliette, who took charge of the vineyard in their father’s absence, and Jeremie, the youngest of the three who has recently married into one of the region’s more prestigious wine families. Over the course of four seasons and two harvests, Jean, Juliette, and Jeremie rediscover their roots, reinvent their relationship, and reestablish trust as they work to preserve the land that binds them together. Reveling in the sun-drenched Burgundian landscape, the bucolic rhythms of wine-country life, and the small sensuous details of the wine-making process, Back to Burgundy is a gorgeous, warm-hearted celebration of family and home.
