Museum Films in September 2022

In September, Museum Films celebrates National Hispanic Heritage month with a series of acclaimed new releases from Spain and Latin America. This month’s lineup also features an animated rock opera, a poetic WWI drama, a soul-stirring Sundance romance, Apocalypse Now: Final Cut in stunning 4K, an exclusive Film Society event marking the 50^th anniversary of The Godfather, and the return of the Manhattan Short Film Festival!

Already a strong contender for the 2023 Best Animated Feature Oscar, this epic rock opera from visionary director Masaaki Yuasa (The Night Is Short, Walk On Girl) tells the story of a 14th-century superstar whose dance moves take Japan by storm.

Join the OKCMOA Film Society for a special 50th anniversary screening and discussion of Francis Ford Coppola’s epic mafia masterpiece, The Godfather. The film will be presented on 35mm with a special introduction from its associate producer, Oscar and Emmy award winner Gray Frederickson.

Film lovers unite in over 400 venues around the globe to view, judge and celebrate a new crop of extraordinary short films, when the 25th annual Manhattan Short Film Festival screens in OKCMOA’s Noble Theater, September 23-October 2.
