Playdate & Create
Beginning February 2026, Playdate & Create will be offered on the fourth Saturday of each month. Designed for children ages 2 through 4 and their adults, each session includes themed gallery exploration, story time, and a hands-on art-making activity—perfect for curious minds and busy little hands. Grown-ups participate alongside their child, fostering creativity and connection.
Upcoming Playdates
NOTE: While our monthly meetups usually happen every fourth Saturday, we’ll be skipping January and June 2026 to give our artful adventures a quick nap. In the meantime, we’d love for you to join us at one of the other fun programs listed below!
Art is blooming in the galleries this month!
Experience the magic of light, color, and movement in glass.

What to Expect
- 9 am | Arrive and Settle
Begin your morning in our studio classrooms, where little ones can get comfortable and explore age-appropriate toys and activities. At the same time, grown-ups can enjoy a relaxing start to their day with coffee and conversation. - 9:15 am | Gallery Adventure
Together, we’ll set out on a guided gallery adventure to explore this month’s theme. Using playful prompts, a story, and themed toys, we will spark curiosity, observation, and connection with works of art. - 9:30 am | Art Activity
Back in the classroom, with your help, your little artists will create their own themed artwork using materials and techniques designed for early learners. This hands-on activity nurtures fine motor skills, creativity, and imagination. - 10:30 am | All done!
Our morning wraps up, and families can take home their children’s creations—along with new memories and inspiration for more artful play.
Offered on the second Saturday of each month from 9 to 10:30 am, Babies at the Museum is designed for visitors 0 to 24 months and their caregivers.
This program begins with complimentary coffee and social time in the Family Space. After settling in, visitors will head to the galleries for a fun-filled thirty minutes in front of the month’s featured work of art, before the Museum opens to the public. We will wrap up the morning with playtime in the Family Space, where babies can enjoy age-appropriate activities and adults can plan their next Museum visit!
We love family visitors! Please check out our tips for visiting and upcoming family-friendly programming.
Kids 17 and under always receive free admission. Free children’s admission is possible thanks to generous support from The Chickasaw Nation, The Ann Lacy Foundation, Cresap Family Foundation, and Chuck and Renate Wiggin.
