Making Memories is OKCMOA’s program designed for individuals living with Alzheimer’s disease and other forms of dementia and their caregivers. The program connects participants with art—and with one another—through conversation and creative artmaking inspired by the Museum’s permanent collection and special exhibitions.
Individuals living with dementia and their caregivers, as well as residents and caregivers from senior living and adult day centers, are invited to attend an on-site Making Memories session at the Museum on Monday, June 29, from 10 am to 12:30 pm.
The session will include a visit to The Sense of Beauty: Six Centuries of Painting from Museo de Arte de Ponce for a seated conversation around one work of art, followed by artmaking and light refreshments in the classrooms.
Space is limited. For more information or to register, please call 405.278.8201 or email jnelson@okcmoa.com.
