June at OKCMOA presents a vibrant and wide-ranging lineup of international classics, compelling nonfiction, striking new releases, and special events—including the return of the deadCenter Film Festival! The month opens with an acclaimed National Theatre Live presentation of the Irish comedy The Playboy of the Western World. Documentary highlights include the timely independent media portrait Steal This Story, Please!, the soaring rock doc Gregg Allman: The Music of My Soul, and Sara Dosa’s visually breathtaking Icelandic landscape study Time and Water. Visionary contemporary cinema is represented by Boots Riley’s bold comedy I Love Boosters alongside Milagros Mumenthaler’s atmospheric drama The Currents, while repertory offerings include new restorations of Satyajit Ray’s lyrical masterwork Days and Nights in the Forest, Katsuhito Ishii’s surreal cult favorite The Taste of Tea, and Alfred Hitchcock’s wry classic The Trouble with Harry.
