Museum Films in March 2020

After the installation of our upgraded seats, Museum Films is excited to welcome you back to the Samuel Roberts Noble theater for a month of visually stunning films that deserve to be experienced on the big screen!

Our preliminary February-March lineup includes two 2020 Oscar-nominees for Best International Feature, Pedro Almodóvar’s brilliantly acted autobiographical drama Pain and Glory and Corpus Christi, a moving Polish film based on true events.

This month also brings a diverse group of acclaimed film festival highlights, Bertrand Bonello’s lush, horror-tinged fairy tale Zombi Child; gripping Russian WII drama Beanpole, winner of  the 2019 Cannes Film Festival Critic’s Prize; Corneliu Porumboiu’s wryly playful neo-noir The Whistlers; and Pedro Costa’s ravishing Vitalina Varela, winner of the Locarno Film Festival’s highest honor. A pair of timely international documentaries, Earth and Midnight Family, offer artful meditations on large-scale ecological change and the global healthcare crisis.

Presented in a luminous 25th anniversary restoration, Béla Tarr’s Sátántangó gives Oklahoma City film lovers the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to check a legendary masterpiece off your cinematic bucket list while breaking in our brand-new seats.

In partnership with The OCU Film Institute, Museum Films is proud is proud to host an evening with Kevin Willmott, the Oscar-winning co-writer of BlacKKKlansman and creator of CSA: Confederate States of America. This free event will feature a screening of Willmott’s 2013 film Destination: Planet Negro!, followed by a conversation with the filmmaker. Last but not least, make sure to join us at 2:30 pm on the final Friday of each month for our free deadCenter docs series, co-presented by Art Moves and deadCenter Film. See Neil Berkeley’s Beauty is Embarrassing on February 28 and Luke Korem’s Dealt on March 27.

Stay tuned for screening details, ticketing information and additional titles after the theater reopens on February 27.
