This month’s lineup also features a spotlight on contemporary Chinese cinema with compelling new films from Lou Ye (An Unfinished Film) and Jia Zhang-ke (Caught by the Tides); a striking new adaptation of Françoise Sagan’s coming-of-age classic Bonjour Tristesse; and acclaimed festival highlights, including David Cronenberg’s deeply personal new film The Shrouds, French dark comedy Misericordia, and Matías Piñeiro’s elegant cine-essay You Burn Me.
