Museum Films in January 2023

Happy New Year from Museum Films! Our January schedule features official Oscar submissions from Austria and Spain, highlights from Sight & Sound magazine’s Greatest Films of All Time Critics’ Poll, two artful new takes on the haunted house thriller, a pair of heartwarming festival award winners, beautifully restored black-and-white classics and mid-career masterpieces by Abbas Kiarostami.

Returning to theaters in a director-supervised 4K restoration, Guy Maddin’s dreamlike first feature explores the jealousy and madness that erupts between two 19th-century hospital patients in the small Canadian town of Gimli.
